Meet Selene Richards

Selene Richards is the co-founder of The Richards Group and the founder of East Design House, bringing together more than two decades of experience in real estate, marketing, design and brand building.

At The Richards Group, Selene leads the creative vision behind the brand and the client experience. From marketing strategy and property positioning to renovations, staging and presentation, she has helped shape the full-service approach that has become a hallmark of the team. Her belief is simple: exceptional real estate results come from understanding not only how to sell a home, but how to make people feel something when they see it.

That philosophy led naturally to the creation of East Design House, a full-service residential interior design studio specializing in renovations, new builds, furnishing and turnkey installations. With a strong point of view and an instinct for balancing beauty with livability, Selene oversees the the business ,working alongside the studio’s design team as the company continues to grow.

An entrepreneur at heart, Selene is continually looking for ways to elevate the businesses, challenge convention and create a better experience for clients. She is particularly passionate about architecture, interiors, branding and the relationship between great design and real estate value.

Selene has called Toronto’s east end home for more than 20 years and has built both businesses around the community she knows and loves. When she isn’t working, she can usually be found with her family, at the lake in Muskoka, travelling, or collecting inspiration for the next project.
